The project\u2019s centerpiece: the removal of 625 m<sup>3<\/sup> of accumulated sediment, restoring critical storage volumes for both water quality and quantity control.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Construction efforts focused not just on function, but also on the community and environmental impact. The forebay and permanent pool were rebuilt to meet City and Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP)&nbsp; standards, while invasive phragmites were managed to restore native vegetation, improving biodiversity and long-term ecological health.
