\n ArchTam has been honored with the Silver Award at ACEM Engineering Awards 2025 for the Klang Valley MRT Putrajaya Line Underground Works, a major infrastructure project that has transformed urban mobility and engineering excellence in Greater Kuala Lumpur. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Completed in 2023, the underground works form a critical segment of the 57.7-kilometer Putrajaya Line, which includes 13.5 kilometers of tunnels and nine underground stations. Designed to ease traffic congestion and elevate the quality of life for millions, the project stands as one of the largest infrastructure investments in Malaysia\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leveraging expertise from teams across Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong, our team deployed advanced digital tools such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Common Data Environments (CDE) to ensure precision and efficiency. Our global tunneling capabilities were instrumental in navigating the complex underground landscape beneath Klang Valley\u2019s busiest urban zones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond engineering, the project has helped increase public transport usage, reduce traffic congestion, and cut carbon emissions. The use of precast elements and digital modeling has contributed to ensuring long-term maintainability and operational efficiency \u2014 aligning with ArchTam\u2019s Sustainable Legacies strategy and the client\u2019s vision for a greener future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project has also made a significant impact to the engineering profession in Malaysia. It provided hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies, created jobs for local talent, and fostered a new generation of engineers with specialized skills in tunneling design and infrastructure delivery. It has influenced national infrastructure planning and elevated the capabilities of local engineering firms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With over 40 years of presence in Malaysia and nearly 300 professionals based in Kuala Lumpur, ArchTam continues to shape the future of infrastructure in the region. This Silver Award is not just a recognition of technical excellence \u2014 it\u2019s a celebration of the transformative power of engineering to improve lives, cities, and the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The awards were given out at the Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM)<\/a>‘s 62nd<\/sup> Anniversary Dinner in Putrajaya, Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
