{"id":24842,"date":"2018-04-19T18:41:46","date_gmt":"2018-04-19T18:41:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.archtam.com\/projects\/university-north-texas-business-leadership-building\/"},"modified":"2025-05-19T12:35:18","modified_gmt":"2025-05-19T16:35:18","slug":"university-north-texas-business-leadership-building","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/www.archtam.com\/projects\/university-north-texas-business-leadership-building\/","title":{"rendered":"University of North Texas Business Leadership Building"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"aecom-custom-block block-intro-text\" style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 40px\">\n    <p class=\"editor-emphasized\">\n        ArchTam Hunt served as construction manager for the University of North Texas Business Leadership Building, a new 180,000-square-foot, four-story building featuring a securities trading room, an executive board room, 24 classrooms of various sizes, computer labs, study and tutoring rooms, a caf\u00e9, a rooftop garden and courtyard.    <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The new Business Leadership Building also contains an entire floor dedicated to more than 222 offices and meeting spaces for faculty, staff, and doctoral students. The facility also features state-of-the-art lecture halls utilizing the latest in video data communication equipment and presentation media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exterior cladding of the building is composed of Texas limestone, brick, curtain wall and metal panels. One special element of the building is the expansive column-free marketplace, featuring multiple skylights installed within the third floors heavily loaded green roof, which is supported by exposed cast-in-place columns. These skylights allow natural light to filter in through the multiple stories below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Project Achievement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>BIM was utilized early in the project for the coordination of all MEP and above-ceiling trades.
