{"id":30831,"date":"2019-09-24T15:18:03","date_gmt":"2019-09-24T15:18:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.archtam.com\/projects\/stevens-institute-student-housing-university-center\/"},"modified":"2024-11-26T00:11:17","modified_gmt":"2024-11-26T05:11:17","slug":"stevens-institute-student-housing-university-center","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/www.archtam.com\/projects\/stevens-institute-student-housing-university-center\/","title":{"rendered":"Stevens Institute Student Housing and University Center"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"aecom-custom-block block-intro-text\" style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 40px\">\n    <p class=\"editor-emphasized\">\n        In the largest expansion in Stevens Institute\u2019s history, ArchTam Tishman served as CM for this 400,000 SF, two-tower dormitory with a university center in its podium, on the edge of the school&#8217;s notorious bluff.    <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>In addition to navigating the site&#8217;s demanding landscape, devising the project&#8217;s logistics was an exacting task, given the building\u2019s location in the middle of a busy campus. Our team created a dual-hoist complex at the roadway beneath the bluff to help carry material across to the site and built a retaining wall along the top of the bluff to accommodate the building&#8217;s foundations and the hoist&#8217;s footings.
