{"id":36172,"date":"2023-01-16T10:08:29","date_gmt":"2023-01-16T10:08:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.archtam.com\/projects\/park-avenue-armory\/"},"modified":"2023-02-17T07:37:50","modified_gmt":"2023-02-17T12:37:50","slug":"park-avenue-armory","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/www.archtam.com\/projects\/park-avenue-armory\/","title":{"rendered":"Park Avenue Armory"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"aecom-custom-block block-intro-text\" style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 40px\">\n    <p class=\"editor-emphasized\">\n        ArchTam Tishman served as CM for the multiphase historical renovation of the Park Avenue Armory, originally built in the 1860s by the Seventh Regiment of the National Guard.    <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Among the many components of this massive restoration, the 55,000 SF Wade Thompson Drill Hall \u2013 the armory&#8217;s showpiece \u2013 was transformed into a state-of-the-art performing arts venue, with its existing steel-truss system reinforced to accommodate modern theatrical lighting assemblies, catwalk and MEPs, and the millwork, sashes and glass of the hall&#8217;s 161 windows replaced.
