The elementary school will have the capacity for grades K through 5th.     <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Open spaces are created in corridors of each grade level as collaboration spaces. The building is on a geothermal system for heating and cooling and a solar array system will be installed as an alternate energy source. The solar array system will produce enough energy to offset a portion of the buildings electrical consumption. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The flexibility and visibility within each classroom are carefully balanced with safety needs by employing \u2018safety nooks\u2019 that are out of sight of the corridor and which utilize remotely-activated door locking hardware.
