{"id":38195,"date":"2015-09-25T19:43:27","date_gmt":"2015-09-25T19:43:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.archtam.com\/projects\/changi-airport-terminal-4\/"},"modified":"2023-09-29T00:22:04","modified_gmt":"2023-09-29T04:22:04","slug":"changi-airport-terminal-4","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/www.archtam.com\/projects\/changi-airport-terminal-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Changi Airport Terminal 4"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><em>The award-winning fourth terminal at Singapore\u2019s Changi Airport sets new standards for environmentally friendly design and construction solutions.<\/em><\/h2>\n<p>Changi Airport\u2019s Terminal 4 (T4) was opened in October 2014 to meet future air travel demands at one of the world\u2019s busiest airports, while also promoting sustainable outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>ArchTam, together with other members of the project consortium, was trusted with the contract for the development of T4, with the objective of improving passengers\u2019 travel experience, enhancing operational efficiency and raising manpower productivity.<\/p>\n<p>The project comprised all associated building and infrastructure works, including a new terminal building, multi-story car park, ramp tower, other ancillary buildings and facilities such as roads, bridges and tunnels. We were responsible for providing civil and structural as well as geotechnical engineering design services.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Green design principles<\/strong><br \/>\nT4 was built on the site of the former Budget Terminal at Changi. The main terminal consists of a two-story, 25-meter-high building with a 300-meter-long Central Galleria. The environmentally friendly terminal makes optimal use of natural lighting and energy management systems.<\/p>\n<p>Its innovative design and overall greater automation will also boost productivity and efficiency levels in the new terminal.
