But for many drivers, access to charging remains a major hurdle.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s why <a href=\"https:\/\/jolt.energy\/en-gb\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/jolt.energy\/en-gb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JOLT Energy GmbH<\/a> is scaling up its network of public ultra-fast EV charging stations in major cities across the country. Designed to deliver a charge boost in minutes, these high-power charging (HPC) clusters are helping make EV ownership practical, convenient and accessible to more people.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2021, we have been working with JOLT to streamline the rollout of these HPC-charging stations, providing expertise in strategic planning, site inspections and design.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Given that installing new charging stations can be a slow and complex process \u2013particularly due to the time required to establish grid connections and approvals, we&#8217;re also working closely with network operators to accelerate approvals and reduce delays.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why do cities need ultra-fast EV charging stations?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As Germany shifts to <a href=\"https:\/\/publications.aecom.com\/transportation-electrification\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cleaner transport<\/a>, fast, accessible charging is key to making EV adoption practical for more drivers. While home charging works for some, many urban residents<strong> <\/strong>lack access to private parking and rely on public charging infrastructure.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JOLT&#8217;s ultra-fast charging stations are helping to bridge this gap by:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Providing rapid charge times<\/strong> \u2013 delivering up to 320 kilowatts (kW) of power, allowing EVs to recharge in minutes rather than hours.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Integrating into urban spaces<\/strong> \u2013 compact designs ensure the charging stations fit easily into existing city infrastructure.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Reducing pressure on the grid <\/strong>\u2013 integrated battery storage allows JOLT\u2019s charging stations to operate with a standard low-voltage connection. This is where our expertise comes in.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As JOLT\u2019s project partner, we\u2019re helping to streamline the process and ensure charging stations are installed quickly and efficiently.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our team is responsible for assessing site feasibility, securing the necessary planning and regulatory approvals, and design development.
