I strongly believe the city needs much more attention from engineers/scientists, planners and regulators than what it is receiving now. There are plenty of opportunities for creative work which always has been the hall mark of Kokata. Almost all of India’s Noble Laureates starting from Rabindranath Tagore to Amartya Sen have Kolkata connections and I just feel more attention from professionals, entrepreneurs, regulators and policy makers are critically needed to redeem the past glory of Kolkata.
