It is so much fun, a great addition to their fitness program, a serious confidence builder and is serving to inspire our next generation of transport users and safe cyclists! As the BikeTrust representative astutely said today, “bikes are a great leveller – no matter what the ability, everyone can find a challenge and have fun doing it. Regardless of previous abilities, you will never hear someone say they don’t want to ride a bike.” Now we just need safe segregated cycleways for them to ride on…..

The spectacle draws people int and then they discover the practicality of the bicycle for themselves. When someone discovers the myriad benefits of cycling, like the newly converted they want to spread the word and their family and friends have a role model. I’m a fan of Jon’s Style Over Speed too and have started an annual SOS in Townsville. July 17th http://www.townsvillebug.com for pictures and registration. Thanks to ArchTam for their support.
