What is your name and role at ArchTam?

My name is Tiffany Tan and I am an Environmental Consultant in ArchTam’s Environmental Team.

How long have you worked for ArchTam?

I had done a 10 months internship with ArchTam then returned after I graduated in 2022.

Describe your role and day-to-day work. How has your work at ArchTam contributed towards having a positive impact on the environment?

Mainly conducting environmental impact assessment and site inspection to ensure the contractor follows the environmental monitoring and management program and involved in stakeholders’ engagement when needed.

After we conduct impact assessment, we will come up with mitigation measures if required, aiming to reduce the impacts to the environment. Apart from that, by conducting site inspection and continuous monitoring, we also ensure that the proposed mitigation measures are properly implemented.

Do you have any interesting experience around collaboration, multi dis work, and thinking and acting globally at ArchTam?

Yes, I get to know more people from other ArchTam companies when I work on multi dis work and other ENV jobs. It is interesting to know the working styles and on-site experiences from different countries. 

Are there any other interesting or unique opportunities you have had through your work at ArchTam? Or interesting experiences with clients or building client relationships?

One of the unique opportunities I have had during my work at ArchTam, we get to explore the forested areas and nature sites in Singapore due to the nature of the work.

How has ArchTam helped you in your career development?
ArchTam has provided a lot of opportunities and exposure to various kind of works, such as impact assessment, pollution control studies, modelling works etc., which helped to build up my career profile.

What’s your proudest moment at ArchTam?

When we finally close out and completed that project which I was involved since my time during the internship!
