The 57 storey structure towers above the city&#8217;s skyline to enjoy unparalleled 360-degree views. Housing 273 apartments, retail units and commercial office space, the Pacifica offers Auckland a new benchmark in high rise city life.<\/p>\n<p>ArchTam was engaged by Hengyi to provide Project Management and Engineer to the Contractor services for the development.<\/p>\n<p>The project faced many challenges \u2013 not only the central CBD location, but also a busy working environment with minimal space available for storage and loading. Despite these challenges, for the first time in New Zealand the contractor used a full-perimeter jumpform, encompassing all vertical structural tower elements. The jumpform climbs using electric jacks, with a single floor \u201cjump\u201d taking one hour. The floors and post-tensioning works are constructed within the perimeter screens hung from the jumpform.
